You get to
Choroní from
Maracay passing
through the
beautiful
National Park.
As Choroní is
located inside
the Park, the
development of
the area has
been quite slow.
The colonial
structure is
still maintained
in many areas.
Tourism is the
principle labor
source for the
local people,
mostly provided
by the lodges in
and around
Choroni.
Following the
road you get to
Puerto Colombia,
where all the
commercial life
is developed,
with the port
for the fisher
boats, and where
fresh fish can
be bought.
Hostal
Colonial is located in Calle Morillo, which is
the main street. It's the first posada on your
righthand side after passing the Guardia
Nacional.
The
reception desk is open from 7 in the morming untill
10:30 at night.
